EAdirections was launched on October 23, 2006 by Larry R. DeBoever, George S. Paras, and Tim Westbrock.

But the roots of EAdirections go back over a decade to META Group (now Gartner) where we worked together to launch the Enterprise Architecture Strategies (EAS) service, the industry?s first EA advisory service.  Our work at the META Group was based on many years of experience as consultants, architects and managers in hundreds of companies.  This experience provided the foundation of the EAS service intellectual capital.  Our experience with EAS proved to us that EA is a discipline that is best supported through a combination of deep relationships, advice based on an understanding of the client?s unique situation, and thought leadership.

While at the META Group, we also launched the industry?s first Enterprise Architecture Conference (EAC) with Shared Insights (now in its 11th year), where we continue to play a role speaking and advising.  We defined many of the current best practices in EA, influencing TOGAF, NASCIO and others along the way.
